F Vancouver is very pleased to bring you Kegan and Lahey's famed work en
titled Immunity to Change\, presented by certified ITC Coach Rita Clouti
er. People raved about this material at the last two International ICF C
onferences\, and now we are bringing it to you!\n Building on their rese
arch into adult development\, renowned Harvard scholars Robert Kegan and
Lisa Lahey created a coaching program (ITC) that addresses the hidden m
echanism which prevents people from making the changes that are most imp
ortant to them. Their work has revolutionized the practice of personal a
nd organizational change. Individuals and organizations throughout the w
orld make use of these ideas and practices. See www.mindsatwork.com for
 more information.\n Kegan and Lahey write\, "People can change . . . . [
they] can make significant improvements in focused areas where they have
many times before tried and failed\; and yes\, even 'grown ups' can con
tinue to evolve more complex mental systems . . ."\n \n In this workshop
you will:\n \n \n Identify a goal which you hold to be highly significa
nt (your &lsquo\;foot on the gas').\n Create a clear and powerful visual
MAP of a previously hidden "immunity-to-change" that acts as a counter-
goal (your &lsquo\;foot on the brake').\n Articulate the "big time bad a
ssumption" that keeps these opposing forces in place.\n Decide on the be
st approach for you to implement a strategic change process whereby you
are released from the paralysis of this dynamic tension.\n \n Rita Clout
ier has counselled\, taught\, and facilitated professional development w
orkshops and events for over 30 years. She earned an M.A. in Leadership
and Training through Royal Roads University and was the recipient of the
Founders' Award for 2004. Other certifications include: Core Competenci
es (Society for Organizational Learning)\, Mediation and Conflict Resolu
tion (Transformative Justice\, Australia)\, and Outward Bound Leadership
. She received her ITC certification in 2009. Rita loves to learn\, valu
es mistakes (her own and others)\, and enjoys contributing to learning e
nvironments that support and challenge the growth of others.\n Give your
self the best Valentine's Day present ever! Work on something significan
t for yourself and take away a powerful tool to use with personal client
s and organizations alike!\n We encourage you to bring a learning partne
r with you to this event so you can capitalize on the ongoing change pro
cess that flows naturally from the workshop. Don't have a partner? No pr
oblem\, you can pair up with someone at the meeting.\n \n \n \n Help us
with our planning and logistics by preregistering! This will also reduce
your wait time at the door.\n \n \n \n Students: To sign for this event
