ICF-VCR has developed a coach-giving program with Volunteer Vancouver designed to strengthen the capacity of Board Chairs and Executive Directors to provide effective leadership for their boards and organizations. For an outline of the program, click here.

Prism Winners & Finalists

Congratulations to all award recipients at this year's Prism Awards held May 5th at the beautiful new Vancouver Convention Centre.

A big thank you to the Jazz Think Trio who provided morning inspiration to us as we enjoyed breakfast and later networking.

This year's award winners are:

Freybe Foods - nominated by Troy King

Surrey Food Bank - nominated by Dave Busse

We'd also like to congratulate finalists Richmond School District (Stephanie Hardman) and Spectra Energy (Wray Group).

We were all inspired by the wonderful stories of how coaching is shaping organizations.  We found it particularly inspiring that the Richmond School District, in spite of all the hard financial decisions they've had to make - have not stepped away from their commitment to developing their leaders through coaching.

We look forward to seeing you all again next year - so get working on those submissions.

OUR MISSION

  1. Encourage the professionalism of coaches through compliance with ICF standards, practices and ethics;
  2. Facilitate collegiality and professional development among coaches; and
  3. Serve as a resource and creating awareness of the professional standards of coaching among:
  • coaches,
  • individuals,
  • organizations and groups seeking coaching; and the general public

OUR STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES

  • We help to Build by educating and promoting the coaching profession. Our Coach Referral Service and the PR Plan are integral parts of this process.
  • We Support by fostering the community aspect among members. Our events plus regular communications as well as participation in special projects foster community.
  • To Preserve the integrity of the coaching profession, we are actively involved in educating members and developing standards that will serve coaches and their clients.
